ABOUT

YOUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.


Established in 2001, The Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce boasts a membership over 400 members. Under the direction of a nine member Board of Directors representing the four chamber chapters. The Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization, with operating funds coming from membership investments and fund-raising by the staff and member volunteers.


Our fund-raising events are designed to provide entertainment and value to the community and most are dependent upon underwriting sponsorships for success. It’s through the generous support of our members and others In the community of our annual events and advertising opportunities that we can continue to provide services and support to business, schools, civic and other non-profit organizations. Board of Directors

The chamber is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of two members from each of two chapters that make up the chamber, three from one chapter, plus two at-large positions that represent members outside the boundaries of any chapter. Terms are 2 years and members may serve two consecutive terms, then vacate their seat for at least a one year period before serving another term. Under the by-laws, the board may vote to extend the term of a sitting board member for reasons of continuity or for another reason for the good of the organization. The “extended” terms are 2 years and can be extended twice consecutively, before the member must vacate the seat for at least one year before serving again
