Tool is a city on the west side of Cedar Creek Lake, popular for second homes and retirement. It's one of 13 communities served by the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
About Tool
State Highway 274 is Tool's main street, running 4 miles northwest to Seven Points and 9 miles southeast to Trinidad. With more than 2,000 residents, Tool is one of the larger towns on the lake. Its shoreline neighborhoods attract lake-home owners and retirees from across the Dallas area. Students attend Malakoff or Mabank ISD.
